Federal Premium Tactical FliteControl 00 buckshot is a law-enforcement-grade load built for tight patterns. Each 2-3/4″ 12 gauge shell holds 8 pellets of 00 buck. Thanks to Federal’s FliteControl wad, those pellets stay grouped far longer than standard buckshot.

Why Choose FliteControl 00 Buckshot?

Standard buckshot can spread wide and unpredictably. In contrast, the FliteControl wad stays with the pellets as they leave the barrel. It then releases them in a tight cluster. As a result, more pellets hit where you aim, and you don’t need a special choke.

Tighter patterns also mean less risk of stray pellets. For that reason, many officers and home defenders trust this load.

Reliable in Pump and Semi-Auto Shotguns

Federal loads these shells with clean-burning powder in a high-brass hull. Therefore, they cycle reliably in pump and semi-auto shotguns, even in tough conditions. At about 1,145 fps, recoil stays manageable while energy stays high.

Common Questions

Do I need a special choke? No. The FliteControl wad tightens patterns on its own. Still, we recommend testing it with your own barrel to see your pattern size.

Is it good for home defense? Yes. Its tight patterns and manageable recoil make it a popular home defense load.

Where can you ship it? We ship this load to U.S. states where it is legal to buy and own.

Pattern Test Before You Rely on It

Every shotgun patterns a little differently. So before you rely on this load, shoot it at a few distances to see how it groups in your gun. To learn more, visit Federal Premium. You can also shop our shotgun shells and self-defense ammunition.
