These 9mm 115 grain bullets are new Hornady XTP jacketed hollow points, sold in bags of 100. They measure .355″ in diameter, the standard size for 9mm Luger. As a result, they drop right into most 9mm reloading recipes.

Why Reload With 9mm 115 Grain Bullets?

The 115 grain bullet is the most common 9mm weight. It’s light and fast, so it shoots flat and cycles most pistols with ease. In addition, the lighter bullet usually needs less powder, which keeps your cost per round down.

Hornady’s XTP (Extreme Terminal Performance) hollow point is built for controlled expansion, and it’s well known for accuracy. That makes these a great match if you want practice loads that feel like a defensive round. At the same time, a quality jacket helps keep your bore clean.

Buying 9mm 115 Grain Bullets in Bulk

Each bag holds 100 bullets for $13.00. So you can buy one bag to test a load, or several to stock up. For example, five bags give you 500 matched bullets for a full season of range trips.

Also, sticking with one bullet makes it easier to fine-tune a single recipe. Consequently, your groups stay tight and your notes stay simple.

Reloading Tips for XTP Bullets

First, seat each bullet to the overall length listed in your load data. Hollow point profiles vary by maker, so test a few dummy rounds in your pistol before loading a big batch. Next, use a light taper crimp, just enough to remove the case mouth bell. Finally, keep your bullets dry and sealed until you load them.

Always follow published load data for your caliber and bullet weight, and work up from the starting charge. For Hornady’s own specs, visit Hornady. Need more supplies? Browse our reloading components, or shop ready-to-shoot handgun ammunition.
